Konferencē piedalīsies multilingvisma eksperti no Briseles Pēteris Nelde (Peter Nelde), Volfgangs Volks (Wolfgang Wőlck) un Jeruness Darkenns (Jeroen Darquennes).

Biogrāfijas:
Peter Nelde is professor in chair in general and German linguistics at the Catholic University of Brussels and is since 1977 head of the Brussels Research Centre on Multilingualism. He initiated interdisciplinary research in contact linguistics, edited the International Handbook on Contact Linguistics (1996/7) and conducted projects on linguistic minorities (Euromosaic) and language policy (Monolingualism is curable). He lectured as a visiting research professor a.o. at New York State University, Stanford, Berkeley, Budapest, Pretoria, Tokyo, Montréal and Paris and developed a structural plan for European Studies at the universities of Leipzig and Vienna. He published amply in the field of sociolinguistics, edits in and is member of the editorial board of leading journals and monographs. He was president of ABLA (Belgian Association of Applied Linguistics) and organized several world conferences. His special research interests are multilingualism, language planning and ecolinguistics.
Wolfgang Wölck, Professor, received his D.Phil. in English and Linguistics from the University of Frankfurt. He has studied diglossia between dialects and standards in Germany and Scotland, directed the Survey of Quechua-Spanish Bilingualism in Peru and the Buffalo Ethnolects Project. He is engaged in the third phase of a longitudinal survey of Quechua-Spanish bilingualism, and has recently been appointed to a committee for minority language research within the European Community. He has taught at institutions in Belgium, Britain, Germany and Peru, whose National University awarded him an honorary degree in 1972. He was on the faculty of the LSA Institutes in 1971 and 1976 and was appointed Research Professor at the Research Center on Multilingualism by the Belgian National Science Foundation in 1991. He is the author of Phonematische Analyse der Sprache von Buchan, Pequeno Breviario Quechua, co-author of Interkulturelle Mehrsprachigkeit, editor of The Social Dimension of Dialectology and The International Handbook of Contact Linguistics and serves on the editorial boards of the journals Lexis and Multilingua.
Jeroen Darquennes is postdoctoral research fellow of the Flemish Fund for Scientific Research (FWO-Flanders) and senior researcher at the Research Centre on Multilingualism in Brussels (KU Brussel). His main fields of interest are contact linguistics, ecolinguistics and language planning. He a.o. did extensive research on the German minority in Belgium, the Croatian and Hungarian minority in Austria and was involved in the third Euromosaic project that covered the present status of minority speech communities in the new member states in the European.
