The NATO Summit will be held in Washington, D.C., from 9 to 11 July, and President Edgars Rinkēvičs will head the Latvian delegation.

During the NATO Summit, the leaders of the 32 member states will focus on issues related to strengthening NATO's deterrence and defence capabilities and providing long-term support to Ukraine. President Edgars Rinkēvičs will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and attend a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden at the White House to mark NATO's 75th anniversary.

During his working visit, President Rinkēvičs is scheduled to meet with US Senate Minority Leader Addison Mitchell McConnell III and House of Representatives Minority Leader Hakeem Sekou Jeffries at the US Capitol. Additionally, President Rinkēvičs will address students at the Industrial College for National Security and Resource Strategy at the US National Defense University and will give several interviews to international media outlets.
