Sabīna Švāne-Stankeviča has been the Head of Protocol of the President of Latvia since November 5, 2024.
S. Švāne-Stankeviča started her career in the Foreign Service in 2013, continuing her work at The Americas and the Caribbean Division. From August 2016 to 2019, she continued her work at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the United States of America. From August 2019 to 2023, she worked at the State Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assuming responsibility for the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister in protocol matters. Since September 2023, S. Švāne-Stankeviča is part of the team of the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, responsible for questions regarding protocol.
S. Švāne-Stankeviča holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Rīga Stradiņš University.
