Since 8 July 2023, he has been Communication Adviser to the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs. In his professional career, he has been involved in the implementation of international and national level communication and public relations activities. Participated in the development, management and implementation of the communication and PR strategy for Riga as the European Capital of Culture 2014 (including the European Film Academy Awards ceremony, the dance performance ‘Lec, saulīte!’, the World Choir Olympics, the concert ‘Born in Riga’ by Latvian-born world musicians, the solo exhibition ‘Double Reality’ by artist Vija Celmiņa in Riga). Participated in the communication and public relations activities of the first Latvian presidency of the Council of the European Union (2015) and the NATO Foreign ministers' meeting in Riga (2021).
Co-author and compiler of the book ‘A Century of Latvian Diplomacy’ (Zvaigzne ABC Publishing House, 2020 Latvian and 2021 English edition). Author of several publications on international relations, Latvian constitutional law, history of law, diplomacy and philosophy of law.
