Raimonds Vējonis
Dear Mr. Prime Minister, Dear Ministers, Ladies and Gentlemen,   First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers led by Laimdota Straujuma. During the term of that government, we have faced with serious geopolitical changes in Europe and successfully managed the first Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, Dear members of the new Cabinet of Ministers,

I am pleased that Māris Kučinskis has managed to create a new government upon my call.

Restoration of public confidence in the Latvian state power as a whole will require sustained efforts in the implementation of the tasks mentioned in the declaration of the new government.

Currently, the most important tasks are the following:

  • To reform education and health care system,
  • To ensure the development of the national economy,
  • To improve the demographic situation,
  • To safeguard national security and sustainable development.

It will require hard, tenacious, and ambitious work of all team.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

I am confident that the Cabinet of Ministers under your leadership will be able to work as a cohesive team for common good and well-being of the nation.

Dear members of the new Cabinet of Ministers,

Our nation needs a strong and decisive government that is ready to face all challenges and to put individual interests aside.

I believe that you are here and work in politics, because you love our country.

I wish you great success and endurance, while starting a new stage of the work and leading Latvia towards the centenary of our country!
