With profound sadness we received the news of Senator John McCain’s passing. He was a strong defender of democratic values and freedom, a staunch supporter of our collective security within NATO. He was a great friend of Latvia - he visited several times, most recently in 2016. His leadership will be sorely missed. Our most heartfelt condolences to his family.
