When looking at the mirror, be grateful for the fact that you have been granted one more wonderful day, when you can say with confidence that you are fulfilling your dreams! Do not compare yourself with others, but do wake up every morning with the belief that your life is unique and that you do your best!
Just look around you now - you are next to the people, who have chosen to be exactly with you both on this festive eve and during daily routine, in joy and sorrow. Let us thank our fellow human beings for their support in the passing year and let us support each other in the coming year as well.

Be like the Latgale people - so kind and generous! Be like the Kurzeme people - insistent and proud! Be like the Zemgale people - prudent and industrious! Be like the Vidzeme people - so inspired and creative! Be like the Riga people - just as lively and enterprising!
Let us inspire each other every day, because we compile our country! Our nation shall be as strong as every one of us is. We are the ones who will pass these values to the future. It will depend on us whether we will add something valuable to those values from the present. Be brave to form the present time that will be remembered for many decades in the future! May our children be proud to live in Latvia!
Therefore, I wish you to be even more courageous in 2016, because only courageous people can change themselves and the world around them. Believe in your daydreaming, do not be afraid of ambitious goals and make every effort to accomplish the planned dreams. Be courageous to face the excuses that prevent you to reach your goals! Let you make the first step to fulfil your dreams! You have everything for doing that! Courage to do great things has inspired Latvians to create their own future and the future of Latvia from generation to generation confidently!
