We congratulate all dads in Latvia and their beloved ones on the Father’s Day!   We invite to think about relations between parents and children on this day in particular bearing in mind that every member of the family is unique. Therefore, let us appreciate each other as individuals in the family, encourage and support each other! Let us be patient, understanding and let us build respectful relationships so that children would grow up in a harmonious environment! Happy children will form a happy future society of Latvia.

By looking back in the history, we learn that the Father's Day originates from a cordial idea of one woman brought up by her father, who wished that the father would find out how particular person he had been for his daughter. We are confident that love, encouragement, and faith of both parents in their children may become a basis for many good ideas. It is the strong basis for the development of child’s personality.

Let us embrace our dads both on holidays and every day! Let us appreciate the fact that we have each other and let us say more often, “I love you! Thank you that you are for me!” let us appreciate that a dad knows the funniest jokes and is not afraid of the dark. The daddy’s hands are strong. The dad lifts up the highest so that a child can see over the horizon. The dad can tell you about the flag of Latvia and what the Lāčplēsis Day actually is!

Dear fathers and dear families, we wish that the positive emotions gained on the Father’s Day inspired us all for new ideas! Have a wonderful holiday!
