On Thursday, 25 June, President of Latvia Egils Levits will meet Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia, in Saaremaa to discuss regional cooperation and security, Covid-19 containment experience and post-Coronavirus challenges, European Union agenda, climate and other areas.
After the official welcoming ceremony on Kuressaare Main Square, presidents will move onto a trilateral meeting followed by a joint press conference. After the official meeting, presidents will plant trees in the Kuressaare Town Park and visit Kaali Meteorite Crater Field.
Kuressaare has been chosen by presidents to remind residents of Baltic countries that they can travel to and enjoy their summer in any of the three countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
