On 5 September, President of Latvia Egils Levits met with President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid in Tallin to discuss the key foreign policy challenges currently faced by the European Union.
Presidents of Latvia and Estonia discussed bilateral cooperation projects between the two countries, including Baltic and Nordic energy projects. Implementation of Rail Baltica railway project was also one of the topics of the meeting.
On the Three Seas Initiative platform, President of Latvia Egils Levits confirmed that Latvia is ready to build upon Estonian experience as it takes over the coordination and prepares for the 2022 summit of the platform.
