The President thanked the Georgian artist for present of artwork “Latvian Flag”

“Today, we receive a very special gift. We exhibit the work of art, where our friend outlines us, pays homage to our country and one of our national symbols - the flag,” said President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis when thanking Georgian artist David Datuna for presenting his work of art “Latvian Flag” to the Castle of Light.

 

During the opening event of the work of art at the Reading Room for Humanities and Social Sciences of the Latvian National Library, the President of Latvia noted that this present enabled us to look beyond daily life and see ourselves in the global context, and also allowed thanking for friendship and appreciating our friends. The President of Latvia expressed his pleasure that the present was displayed directly at the Latvian National Library, where it would be available for all the people.
