President Rinkēvičs meets with the Public Electronic Mass Media Council

On 13 September, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Public Electronic Mass Media Council (SEPLP) at the Riga Castle to hear SEPLP's vision on the establishment and operation of a merged public electronic media, as well as to find out what SEPLP has done so far.

The parties discussed SEPLP's position on the change of the principles of the public electronic mass media funding model and its progress in the Saeima. During the meeting, President Rinkēvičs raised the issue of whether and how SEPLP is communicating with the employees of Latvian Radio and Latvian Television on the merger concept.
