On 18 September, during the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Head of Government of Andorra Xavier Espot Zamora to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Russian aggression against Ukraine and cooperation in international organisations.
President Rinkēvičs pointed out that Latvia and Andorra had a basis for closer cooperation between the two countries.
"It is in Latvia's interest to promote bilateral dialogue between Latvia and Andorra, as well as cooperation in international formats. There is untapped potential for trade and investment between our countries in the fields of science and new technologies, especially in photonics and biomedicine," President Rinkēvičs said at the meeting.
