On Thursday, May 9, the President of Latvia will award the Order of the Three Stars to opera singer and chamber music artist Maija Krīgena for special merits in favour of the Republic of Latvia in Liepāja. One also plans a meeting with the management of Liepāja City Council and a visit to the Athletics Centre of the Liepāja Olympic Centre.
On Friday, May 10, the President of Latvia will take part in the ceremonial presentation of the flag to the First Regional Centre of the Service and Supply Command of the National Armed Forces.
In its turn, in Pāvilosta, the President of Latvia will meet Chairperson of Pāvilosta Regional Council Uldis Kristapsons and Councillors of the Regional Council. Raimonds Vējonis will meet pupils at Pāvilosta Secondary School, visit the Pāvilosta Local History Museum, and get acquainted with the activities of Pāvilosta Port, including company “N Stars” and home producer Dzintars Zamarītis. The President of Latvia will also visit Social Rehabilitation and Cognitive Centre for Disabled People “Dew Garden of Soul”.
At the end of the visit, the patron of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis and First Lady of Latvia Iveta Vējone will attend a final concert of the season in Liepāja.
