On 3 May, President of Latvia Egils Levits will visit the Republic of Poland. Programme of the visit includes events of the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May.
230th anniversary of the first modern constitution in Europe is a public holiday in Poland. Celebrations taking place in Warsaw will be attended by President of Latvia Egils Levits, President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, hosted by President of Poland Andrzej Sebastian Duda.
Celebrations will start off with service at the St John’s Arch Cathedral and continue with signing of joint declaration in the Royal Castle. Signing ceremony will be followed by a discussion on the rule-of-law between the five presidents.
During the working visit to Poland, President Levits will also have a bilateral meeting with his Polish counterpart in the Belweder Palace.
