During the visit, the President of Latvia shall meet top officials of the UAE. It is planned to extend the legal framework and strengthen economic cooperation between Latvia and the UAE.
During the visit, Raimonds Vējonis will attend an international food and hospitality exhibition, Gulfood 2017, in Dubai, where Latvian food producers participate in with a national stand for the fourth time. The Gulfood is among the largest annual exhibitions in the food sector in the world, attended by approximately 95 thousand sales representatives from more than 150 countries.
The President of Latvia will also open the Latvia - UAE business forum for entrepreneurs in Dubai, which aims to expand economic and trade cooperation between Latvia and the UAE.
During his visit, the President of Latvia will meet with Latvian nationals living in the UAE as well.
