Valsts prezidents piedalīsies Lietuvas valsts atjaunošanas simtgadei veltītajos svinīgajos pasākumos Viļņā
On 16 February 2018, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis will attend the festive events to mark the centenary of the restoration of the State of Lithuania in Vilnius.

The President of Latvia will take part in the solemn ceremony of raising the flags of the three Baltic States at S.Daukantas Square and the formal church service dedicated to the centenary of the restoration of Lithuania at the Vilnius Cathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus and St.Vladislav. Then, together with other top officials, he will attend the dinner hosted by President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė in the Museum of the Castle of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

At the end of the day, the President of Latvia will attend concert “Gloria Lithuania” to mark the centenary of the restoration of Lithuania at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Finland Saulius Niinistö, President of Iceland Guðni Jóhannesson, President of Poland Andrzej Duda, President of Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier, President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko, as well as President of the EU Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and other high-level officials will also join the centenary celebrations dedicated to the restoration of Lithuania in Vilnius.

While celebrating the centenary of the restoration of the State of Lithuania in Latvia, the flag of the Republic of Lithuania will be solemnly raised at the Tower of the Holy Spirit of the Riga Castle on Friday, February 16, in the morning.
