President Levits’ visit to Rauna includes meeting with Evija Zurģe, Chair of Rauna Regional Council, Edgars Plētiens, Headmaster of Rauna Secondary School, who is also the teacher of history and political science, and a graduate of education project Mission possible. While visiting Rauna, Egils Levits will also go to high value-added manufacturer of timber products, company Pavasars, which produces wooden, aluminium windows and wood panel houses.
Whereas President Levits’ visit to Smiltene will include meetings with Edgars Avotiņš, Chair of Smiltene Regional Council, and other local government officials with whom Egils Levits will discuss the future of Smiltene region. President will also meet with Smiltene region businessmen and winners of Smiltene Regional Business Award and plant a linden tree near the Smiltene Secondary School in honour of 100-year Anniversary of Smiltene.
Everyone taking part in presidential visit events, including media, is requested to wear a face mask covering mouth and nose, comply with social distancing requirements, refrain from shaking hands and sharing of public items.
