President of Latvia Egils Levits has accepted the invitation of his Austrian counterpart to attend the international climate conference ‘Austrian World Summit 21’ on June 30th – July 1st in Vienna to present Latvia’s national position on climate.
According to the agenda, President of Latvia will join the plenary together with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of Costa Rica Carlos Quesada, environmentalist Greta Thunberg and other prominent panellists.
President Levits will have bilateral meeting with President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen in Vienna, and also give several interviews to media. On 2 June President Levits will meet with Latvian diaspora in Austria.
