On 27 April, President of Latvia Egils Levits met with Chief Editor of the online magazine Telos.lv, Agnese Irbe. Mrs Irbe presented the future vision and plans of the new media to President Levits.

As Egils Levits emphasised during the conversation, it is key to promote constructive public debate where different views and opinion can coincide. President praised Telos.lv for deciding to join other culture media in bringing its own perspective to the table and making the public debate more meaningful. Agnese Irbe said that Telos.lv is an intellectual and educational online media which supports conservative values.

As announced earlier, the new online magazine Telos.lv  will serve as an online platform for conservatively thinking Latvians. According to its publishers, the translation of the name of the magazine, TELOS, from ancient Greek means result, fulfilment or perfection. ‘We have created a platform for those who  like to think and observe, those who care about honest opinions and unbiased findings. The aim of TELOS is to give a clear direction to the conservative movement, which is often criticised, and perfect it as much as possible,’ says the policy of the magazine.
