“Latvia is becoming even greener and cleaner land. Big Cleanup movement convenes us for joint contribution in cleaning the environment year by year. Thank you that we can do it together,” said President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, when opening the Big Cleanup day today, April 23.

The President of Latvia welcomed the fact that more and more effort was made in improvement of environment on the Big Cleanup day and amount of waste thrown away to nature decreased every year. “This shows that we have become more responsible,” said Raimonds Vējonis.

The President of Latvia participated in the Big Cleanup in Nature Park “Ogres Zilie kalni”, where he made birdhouses together with the children and people from Ogre and surroundings and planted trees at Dubkalni waterbody.
