On 18 March, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited Carnikava Secondary School to meet with students and discuss topics of interest to young people. During the visit, the President also viewed the student creative exhibition "Underwater World" and listened to performances by participants of the public speaking competition – Toms Markevičs (1C), Krišjānis Ķīsis (2C), and Kristaps Mūrnieks (10A).
“Today, I visited the newest secondary school in Latvia – Carnikava Secondary School. Creativity was evident everywhere – in student projects, emotions, songs, and public speaking performances. The young people here are creative, open, warm-hearted, and confident. A special thank you to Toms, Krišjānis, and Kristaps for their outstanding and emotionally resonant recitations of poetry and prose excerpts. This school nurtures many talented future professionals. I would also like to express my gratitude to the members of the Parent Patrol from the school’s Parent Council, who help ensure that students spend their breaks outdoors in a safe and engaging way,” said President Rinkēvičs.
