On 19 June, the President of Latvia Egils Levits considered clemency appeals of 11 convicted persons. Nine clemency appeals were not granted, but two convicted persons were pardoned - one convicted person had his criminal record removed, while the other convicted person was completely exempted from serving the sentence.
