On 19 February, while attending the Munich Security Conference, President of Latvia Egils Levits and Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to discuss current security challenges.
Egils Levits, Kaja Kallas and Boris Johnson all underlined the need to facilitate and continue sending military and financial help to Ukraine. Further strengthening of the NATO Eastern Flank is necessary. Sanctions against Russia will have to be tough and extended. Prime Minister Johnson was firm on the need to reinforce the Joint Expeditionary Force(JEF), a joint initiative between Great Britain and its partner countries: Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland and Sweden.
