On 21 March, President of Latvia Egils Levits held a Certificate of Merit presentation ceremony for actress of Daile Theatre Lidija Pupure, actress of the Latvian National Theatre Baiba Indriksone, literary expert, linguist and politician Professor Janīna Kursīte-Pakule, cartoon director Roze Stiebra, ret. Lieutenant General Raimonds Graube, who is also the director of the National Defence and Patriot Foundation Namejs and former Chief of the Defence Staff, Give me five! public media charity marathon team and Ralfs Eilands, musician and director of Ukrainian Freedom concert.
‘Certificate of merit is President’s personal recognition of one’s previous service to Latvian State, its development, culture, science and progress in other areas,’ Egils Levits stressed to participants of the ceremony.
