In 2011, Club of Latvian Generals, an organisation led by Vice Admiral Zeibots, started a new tradition of bringing young people on patriotic training activities outside Riga to enhance youth’s awareness about the meaning of Lāčplēsis Day and 18 November in the history of Latvia. A 10-year education cycle finished in 2020 when the 10th event of the programme was held. Every year about 700 young people from various Latvian regional schools and youth organisations attended these events.

This monumental 10-year education cycle would not have been possible without your dedication, commitment, inspiration and tireless leadership. On behalf of our country, I thank you for everything you have done for the future of Latvia and our youth!’ said President Levits praising the work of Gaidis Andrejs Zeibots.
