President of Latvia Egils Levits presented the Certificate of Merit to art historian Eduards Kļaviņš in appreciation of his notable contribution to national culture on 27 October.

Your unique ability to combine academic and research proficiency, high teaching standards and passion about art research is truly unparalleled. Your extensive knowledge of national art in the context of Latvian and European art phenomena and trends is really admirable,’ says the Certificate of Merit signed by President Levits.
President of Latvia Egils Levits also presented Certificate of Merit to linguist Dzintra Hirša today at the Riga Castle. She was awarded the Certificate of Merit for her contribution to the development and implementation on national language policy in March of 2022.
