As Certificate of Merit signed by the President reads, ‘You have focused your professional life around reaching new peaks in contemporary Latvian architecture through philosophy and music. Your work has always been driven by desire to discover new, wider horizons and expressions of Latvian identity, thus earning you respect among professionals and general public. You are an officer of the Order of the Three Stars. Your work has become a part of National Culture Canon and received several national Architecture Awards in recognition of your innovative and original take on architectural design. Moreover, as one of the founding members and leaders of the band Menuets, you created one of the best known musical groups in Latvia, which became the symbol of protest and part of national freedom movement during the years of national oppression. We admire everything you have done for our country and congratulate you on the big birthday!’

President of Latvia Egils Levits has decided to present the Certificate of Merit to architect, and one of the founding members of the band Menuets, Andris Kronbergs to mark his 70th birthday and professional career.
