As Certificate of Merit presented by the President indicates, hard work and high professional standards of Aivars Endziņš have contributed to restoration of the national independence and legal system of Latvia, as well as strengthening the democracy and rule of law.
‘You were the first President of the Constitutional Court. Your work paved the way towards Constitutional Court excellence, strengthened its reputation and promoted public trust in court’s judgements and the constitution itself,’ said President of Latvia Egils Levits as he congratulated Dr. iur. Professor Aivars Endziņš on his 80th birthday.
The official ceremony for Aivars Endziņš will take place as soon as national Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
