On 8 November, President Edgars Rinkēvičs paid a working visit to Limbaži Municipality. At the beginning of the visit, the President of Latvia met with the leadership of the Limbaži Municipality Council and visited the Limbaži Municipality Special Primary School in Katvaru parish, where he met with the teaching staff.
"Today I have only seen a small part of the beautiful Limbaži Municipality. The region's geographical location offers a wealth of natural and cultural heritage, providing an excellent foundation for the development of tourism in the area. I would like to say a special thank you to the Limbaži Special Primary School team for their dedication and commitment to providing children with a nurturing and supportive learning environment. I am pleased to see the enterprising people of Limbaži Municipality who are creating and developing a business environment with high added value for their family, municipality, country and the world," said President Edgars Rinkēvičs.
During his visit to Limbaži Municipality, the President of Latvia was acquainted with the business environment of the municipality. He visited the construction elements manufacturing company "Virte Tehnoloģijas" Ltd. and the agricultural company "Amber Rose" Ltd. In Salacgrīva, the President of Latvia got acquainted with the operations of the Salacgrīva Port Authority and the yacht port "Bura".
President Rinkēvičs also visited the Live Silver Museum and viewed the exhibition "Baumanis Kārlis Room" at the Limbaži Museum. This exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of Kārlis Baumanis (1835-1905), the author of the National Anthem of the Republic of Latvia.
