President of Latvia Egils Levits will be on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from the 17th to 19th of May. He is scheduled to meet with a number of German officials and mass media to discuss the bilateral relations between Latvia and Germany, current agenda of the European Union and European security challenges.
President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will host President Levits in his official residence at Schloss Bellevue. Programme of the visit also includes meetings with Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, Chair of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and former President of the Bundestag, and Jürgen Boos, President and CEO of Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH).
During his working visit to Germany, President Levits will also have interviews with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Welt.
