Valsts prezidents Rīgas pilī atklāj skolu programmu “Dzīvei gatavs”
On 5 March 2019, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis opened the school program “Ready to Life” of Foundation “Mission Possible” in the Riga Castle.

“Today, in modern changing world, the task of education is not only to provide knowledge, but also to develop skills and shape personality of every person. A personality who is free and constant in his or her judgments and choices, because personalities like that in particular form a strong country and a modern and democratic society,” emphasised President of Latvia and Patron of the “Mission Possible” Raimonds Vējonis at the opening of the program.

The President of Latvia noted that joint effort and cooperation among educational establishments, municipalities, ministry, and representatives of various sectors are important for change to happen. The school program “Ready to Life” is a great example of such cooperation and will be a great support for both teachers and students in learning different subjects.

During the event, the President of Latvia thanked the supporters of the program, the first enterprises, and industry representatives, who signed a memorandum of cooperation on their participation in the initiative to share their knowledge and skills and introduce students to specific professions in the Riga Castle on Tuesday.

When addressing the students, the President of Latvia wished them to achieve their individual set goals. “Organize your daily life and school life so that everything you do is focused on your development. Then, becoming adults, you will be smart, knowledgeable, and educated people who will shape our country in the future, because not only you, but also entire Latvia need inspiring success stories. Let us all succeed in creating Latvia as the country we can be proud of, protect, and honour!” outlined Raimonds Vējonis.
