Although geographically our countries are far apart, we are bound by close ties that are based on mutual respect and desire to multiply the prosperity of our countries. Namibia and Latvia share the understanding of the need to align high standards of vocational and higher education, as well as digital skills, with economic needs.”
President of Latvia also emphasised that the long-term cooperation between the European Union and Africa should promote sustainability, closer economic ties, favourable investment and business climate.
Namibian Vice President Mbumba thanked the President of Latvia for warm welcome and hospitality. Vice President Mbumba praised Latvia’s remarkable accomplishments in the field of technology, engineering, health care, education and other areas. He also pointed out that Namibian delegation is using the two-day visit to Latvia to learn the best practices and establish personal contacts required for further cooperation.
