Meeting focused on the work of the Council, especially successful digital initiatives implemented recently. Enforcement Register and electronic auctions are some of the digital innovations introduced by the Council to strengthen the rule of law, transparency and integrity. President Levits urged the Council members to keep up the momentum and continue to add more electronic services which will improve efficiency and accessibility of bailiff services.
President of Latvia and members of the Council of Latvian Sworn Bailiffs also talked about international practices, challenges faced by professional bailiffs and future strands of work identified by the Council. Egils Levits praised Council for deciding to focus on dialogue with society. Open and proactive communication promotes public awareness and attitude change.
