President and members of the association discussed the need to update Volume 8 of Commentaries on Satversme (Constitution of the Republic of Latvia) with most recent case-law and the forthcoming scientific conference ‘Banks in the changing world’. Conference organised by Legal Science Research Institute brings together researchers, experts and government officials working in the field of legal science, finance, economy and digital technology.
Legal Science Research Institute (LSRI) presented the President of Latvia Egils Levits with association’s Honorary Membership Certificate for contribution to stronger civil society, analysis of national legal system and raising of public awareness on various aspects of legal science.
President of Latvia Egils Levits met with Chair of the Board of LSRI Dr. iur., Professor Ringolds Balodis, Head of the Civil Law Department of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia, member of the LSRI Dr. iur., Associated Professor Jānis Kārkliņš, Vice-rector of the BA School of Business and Finance Andris Nātriņš and Chair of the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates Dr. iur. Jānis Rozenbergs.
