During the meeting, the President of Latvia noted that there were two exciting and adventurous weeks for young people to explore Latvia, meet with their peers, and witness our traditions and cultural heritage.
“It is a great pleasure for me that you, your parents, and grandparents have found ways to maintain the Latvian roots and create a friendly and Latvian environment beyond the borders of the country, while abroad, by taking part in various events, participating in projects, and celebrating the holidays,” stressed Raimonds Vējonis. He invited young people to participate in organizing the centenary celebrations of Latvia in both Latvia and their home countries.
