President of Latvia was keen to learn more about current development in Latvia’s banking sector and Moneyval evaluation. Egils Levits and Santa Purgaile also talked about cooperation between the FCMC and the central bank, improvements in national judicial system vital for financial industry and other issues dominating the current agenda of national financial sector.
President Levits wished Chair Purgaile success in this responsible job and confirmed that he is open to building a close dialogue with the Commission.
