Raimonds Vējonis
During the accreditation of the next Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to Latvia Bonny L. Dumeni Tuufilwa Haufiku, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis confirmed that Latvia was interested in expanding cooperation with African countries, including Namibia while searching for new export markets.

 

This year marks 20 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The President of Latvia emphasised that in the light of the global situation, Latvia was ready to expand both political and economic cooperation with Namibia. During the meeting, he expressed Latvia’s interest in hosting Namibian officials in Latvia and organise an exchange of business delegations.

 

The new Namibian ambassador stressed the opportunities for cooperation in economy and education between Namibia and Latvia during the meeting.
