On 1 February, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the State Police College to learn about the training process and development plans of the Internal Security Academy (ISA). The ISA is a cooperative initiative launched by the Ministry of the Interior, the State Police College, the University of Latvia, and Riga Stradiņš University. Its core task is to train highly qualified specialists for service in Latvian law enforcement institutions.
“The launch of the Internal Security Academy is a notable investment in our national security and law enforcement capabilities. I would like to express my gratitude to the young people who have chosen to pursue the profession of a police officer. I am also encouraged by the College’s vision for advancing training and creating opportunities for further education for those already serving in law enforcement,” said President E. Rinkēvičs.
