On 15 February, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu. During the meeting, the heads of state discussed bilateral relations, Latvia’s participation in the NATO-led international operation in Kosovo (KFOR), as well as other key issues.
President Rinkēvičs reaffirmed Latvia’s support to promoting stability in Kosovo. “Latvia contributes to peace and security in Kosovo by participating in the NATO-led international operation KFOR. This is Latvia’s most significant contribution to international missions,” noted E. Rinkēvičs.
During the meeting, both parties also addressed Kosovo’s progress towards integration into the European Union and the Council of Europe.
