On 26 June, Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of Latvia, met at the Jūrmala residence with Alen Simonyan, President of the National Assembly of Armenia. The President expressed appreciation for the constructive relations between Latvia and Armenia, with a special emphasis on parliamentary cooperation.
President Rinkēvičs noted the potential of economic cooperation and direct flights between Riga and Yerevan, which promote contacts between the people and entrepreneurs of both countries. The officials exchanged opinions on cooperation within international organisations. European Union cooperation with Armenia, as well as other current regional and global issues, including Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
