During his meeting with Armenia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, underlined the need to intensify cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Eastern Partnership countries.
President Levits confirmed Latvia’s full support to deepening of the relationship between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries, including Armenia. Latvia is ready to share its reform experience in various areas, including judicial reforms.
Both sides admitted that Latvia and Armenia could significantly increase bilateral cooperation in such areas as trade, education and culture. Armenian Foreign Minister thanked all people of Latvia who supported Armenian people since early Awakening. Armenians have not forgotten the support. “There is a sense of solidarity between two freedom-loving nations,” said the Minister.
