President of Latvia Egils Levits is among the attendees of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland today and yesterday.
‘World leaders must stand together against hate and xenophobia. We must send a clear signal that there is going to be zero tolerance towards all kinds of hate or xenophobia. Latvia has consistently condemned all forms of totalitarianism, crimes against humanity, and war crimes committed during WWII. Latvia strongly and unequivocally condemns holocaust and continues to honour the memory of its victims. As a member state of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, Latvia is fully committed to the goals of the Stockholm Declaration in holocaust education, research and remembrance,’ said President of Latvia Egils Levits.
