To support the project ‘Admire, travel, embrace Latvia’ (“Aplido, apceļo, apmīļo Latviju”), President Levits, members of Association ‘1836’ and Valka regional government will install a roadside post and clean up a section of the road.
‘The Big Cleanup Day tradition reflects the wisdom inherent in our nation. We want our country to be clean, green and sustainable. We inspire the world. Latvia is the only country in the world ready to continue spring cleaning tradition amidst these strange times of virus. We want to show everyone that a healthy country is a country that is clean and green, a country whose people know the value of moderation and are ready to turn the crisis into an opportunity to live smarter and manage its economy more sustainably,’ says the President of Latvia Egils Levits.
President of Latvia urges people to choose a place to clean up and make Latvia cleaner and nicer like any other year. He also reminds everyone to be mindful of restrictions imposed by government during this year’s tidy up campaign.
