President of Latvia Egils Levits and Mrs Andra Levite praise structured efforts of NGO ‘Tavi draugi’ for excellence in helping Ukraine

President of Latvia Egils Levits and Mrs Andra Levite visited charity initiative ‘Tavi draugi’ (Your friends) today to see how humanitarian aid delivered to Ukrainian people in the war-affected areas of Ukraine is being coordinated. President of Latvia donated humanitarian aid provided by staff of Presidential Chancery and praised NGO ‘Tavi draugi’ for admirable management and structured efforts in helping Ukrainian refugees in Latvia and delivering charitable donations from Latvia to Ukraine.

Egils Levits also extended greetings and thank you from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Latvian people who have shown that they are ‘true friends of Ukraine’.

President and representatives of the NGO discussed current horizontal priorities, i.e., challenges requiring coordinated horizontal solutions at the central and local level across several sectors to help Ukrainian refugees, for example, receive the medicines they need in Ukraine.
