In his address at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet House, President Rinkēvičs said:
Today, we celebrate excellence in Latvian music. The Grand Music Award is widely regarded as a significant event for the industry. It offers a chance to review the previous year and assess our achievements.
The Grand Music Prize is an event that encourages new, innovative, and beautiful ideas. It is my pleasure to present the award in the category "New Artist of the Year" tonight to those who have already begun to excel in their musical journey. However, quality education and a safe learning environment are essential for achieving excellence. This applies to schools, universities, and workplaces alike.
Excellence in music requires hard work and dedication. I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have supported the young talents, including family, teachers, listeners, and all friends of music.
Dear friends! You are beginning in your musical journey. You are already shining brightly in our Latvian musical sky, but there are still many new galaxies to conquer. I hope that you will continue to receive the appreciation and respect of your audience, the admiration of your colleagues, as well as recognition from critics, in all your future endeavours.
