On 11 March, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Head of the Latvian Large Families Association Elīna Treija and Board Member Gatis Eglītis at the Riga Castle. During the meeting, the President of Latvia listened to the Association’s proposals for improving family welfare support, including solutions for housing accessibility.
"It is essential that organisations representing family welfare are actively engaged in a continuous dialogue with public authorities when discussing and deciding on support measures to improve families’ quality of life and promote the birth of new children," said President Rinkēvičs following the meeting.
