Valsts prezidents turpina latviešu kultūrtelpas iepazīšanu Vidzemē
On Thursday, 18 June, President of Latvia Egils Levits will visit Vecpiebalga and Cēsis in scope of his campaign ‘Support Latvian museums and cultural space’. He will visit several museums and meet with members of Cēsis Regional Council and Cēsis Chapter of Latvian association of the politically repressed persons.

President’s will begin his regional visit with Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum field exhibition ‘Vēveri’ in Vecpiebalga, followed by exhibition ‘Burning Conscience’ in Cēsis. This exhibition was recently given a special jury mention by the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2020. President will also visit multimedia exhibition ‘Symbolism’ in Cēsis Castle.

Egils Levits will also go to Global Centre for Latvian Art. Collection and exhibitions of the museum focus on art created by Latvian artists in exile after the World War II and young artists living abroad.
