“Without the assistance of Latvians living abroad, many achievements of Latvia, including membership in NATO, would not have been possible,” stressed President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis. In his greeting, the President of Latvia thanked the organization for its contribution in strengthening national and cultural values among Latvian Americans and popularizing the name of Latvia in the world.
The President of Latvia also appreciated WFFL contribution in strengthening the external economic cooperation, by stressing an opportunity provided by the World Latvian Economics and Innovation Forum for Latvian entrepreneurs to meet, share experiences and develop cooperation with compatriots living abroad.
“This well-rooted tradition gathers successful, experienced businessmen and professionals of Latvian origin annually, thus enabling our entrepreneurs to use your experience and knowledge in order to pave the way for better development opportunities,” mentioned the President of Latvia.
