On 15 February, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Latvian delegation of the World Youth Winter Olympic Games at the Riga Castle and honoured the medal winners in skeleton, luge, and 3x3 ice hockey.
"Witnessing how hard you fought for medals made the World Youth Olympic Winter Games a must-watch event. I look forward to following your future careers and all the achievements to come. I believe that the experience of the Youth Olympic Games has made you even stronger and more confident," said President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.
"I would like to thank each of you, your coaches, parents, families and supporters, and wish you every success in your future endeavors, both in sports and studies," the President of Latvia said.

Latvia was represented by 45 athletes across 11 sports at the World Youth Winter Olympics held in Gangwon, South Korea, from 19 January to 1 February. Latvia won two gold, three silver, and one bronze medals.
